On the occasion of World Heart Day organized ACLS & BLS 2-day workshop
On the occasion of World Heart Day, Jai Narain College of Nursing (JNCN) bhopal organized ACLS & BLS 2-day workshop starting on 26 September 2024 at JNCTPU auditorium. The workshop was inaugurated by Mrs. Poonam Chouksey, Chairperson, JNCT, and all dignitaries were presented there.
The main focus of the workshop was hands-on training in emergency situations
The Workshop highlighted the following:
– Chain of Survival
– Recognition of cardiac arrest and activation of emergency response system. Call EMS.
– Early cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with emphasis on chest compressions
– Early defibrillation
– Start AED
– Early Advanced care by Emergency Medical Services and Healthcare providers
The workshop also covered BLS techniques, focusing on immediate care for cardiac arrest or medical emergencies until advanced help arrives. The goal of BLS is to maintain blood circulation and oxygenation to vital organs, increasing survival chances
Thus, the main motto of the workshop was: “Let us together save a life”. Any attempt at resuscitation is better than no attempt.
